1: Take a picture of your workspace.
2: Show your pencil case and what’s inside.
3: Show a thing you last drew, no matter how small or a “doodle” it is.
I last drew this week’s postGrad! 4: Lineart or coloring?
Lineart all the way, my shading/coloring is pretty minimal.
5: Who/what inspires you?
Sooo I read a variety of genres of comics so I find inspiration in each of them for different reasons.
- Johnny Wander and Questionable Content’s slice of life genre showed me that you could make a comic out of everyday mundane life and they were also the main inspiration to start my own webcomic.
- I use the dynamic angles and speedlines from Japanese Manga. I usually use Love Hina for reference.
- Bryan Lee O’Malley work with Scott Pilgrim, Lost at Sea, and Seconds inspires me to write and illustrate my own graphic novel someday.
7: Do you have any OCs?
8: Do you listen to music when you draw? Favorites?
I rarely play music when I draw, I usually play gaming youtubers like Pewdiepie, Seananners, and Cryaotic in the BG
9: Favorite thing to draw?
I like drawing emoting characters. Next to that: the lay-deez lol.
10: Least favorite thing to draw?
Drawing hands has always been my Achilles heel. It’s frustrating every single time since no two hands I draw are same so it’s always a new challenge each time.
11: Draw a pic of yourself like how you look just now.
I should be in bed. 12: Any weird artist behavior you admit doing?
Drawing in my sketchbook in public like a cafe or a bench looking angsty like a bad cliché. I feel awesome and pretentious everytime.
Been using Wacom graphics tablets since like 2009 and they’ve treated me well. They’ve helped me make over a hundred comics (postGrad and I Call Shenanigans) but now I’m upgrading and I ordered myself a Yiynova MSP19U+ Tablet Monitor. Pretty damn excited to draw comics w/ this shizz! Mega props to @OmNomDomz
